Hi,
my name is Andrea, I am a Hungarian living in Vienna, Austria.
I had always loved cooking and baking since I was a teenager, but stopped due to lack of time.
In September 2019 my vertebrae fractured and I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (blood cancer that destroys the bones). After a stem cell transplantation in September 2020 I am now in remission, but still need treatment to keep the cancer under control.
As diversion to therapy, I started to cook and bake again, and share my creations on instagram. However, I soon realized that the (plated) food in the kitchen light did not look as inviting and delicious on my photos as in real life.
So I started to take a closer look at photography and developed a passion for food styling and food photography - a skill I am constantly working on improving.

When I started my food photography journey, I was more focused on capturing the final dish only. I have with time discovered all the beautiful stories I can create featuring the ingredients or by capturing the preparation and cooking process.
For me food photography should take one on a journey of senses, of memory and of taste. The ultimate goal for a viewer is to go like, “hmmm, I want to eat that”.
